The room was in a complete state of disarray, it was hard to tell if the person (if anyone) who lived here was messy, or if it was done on purpose.
In the center of the room lay a body, female, caucasion (young) perhaps mid twenties.
She was naked and lying face down in a pool of blood, her platinum blonde hair (dyed), matted and stained crimson. The back of her skull was traumatised to the point grey matter had begun to seep out.
Scattered around the corpse was lingerie, lacy bras and french knickers, suspender belts and thigh high hoisery. Nearest the door were severel pairs of high heeled shoes, stiletto's and peep toed pumps.
Futher into the room was a large silver train case, containing cosmetics. MAC lipgloss in seduction and vixen, napoleon eyeshadows in various hues of pink and red. Urban Decay nail laquer in starry night, black velvet, cherrypop and raspberry. The second teir held max factor concealer, foundation and face powder all in palest ivory.
The small mirror and the contents of the case were splattered with tiny droplets of blood, almost matching the shades of red.
Neatly layed out on the bed were three designed dresses, an Amarni black strapless, a dior vintage number and what appeared to be a dolce and gabbana red cocktail frock, all were sprayed with droplets of blood.
The curtains were slightly opened, and revealed a balcony that overlooked the city. On the outdoor setting was an ashtray and two Martini glasses, only one was stained with lip stick.

The scene was familiar to the detective, the third crime of its style in three months. All party girls, all beautiful, all alone, all blonde.

And all with their skulls bashed in.

At the first scene there were shotglasses - a wild girl, reckless and daring

the second, wine glasses - slightly refined with a hint of maturity

the third, martini glasses - classy, brash and decadent.

These are lust murders, beautiful young women, cut down in their prime, skulls forced in, left dead, posed like a lifeless barbiedoll discarded playthings.

An excerpt from a crime story I am working on.
The intention is for this to be the beginning, it is all I have written thus far.
